Our Story
We met at a University of Michigan First Friday Union Party. These events over time have proven to be the lamest, but were pretty cool to freshmen. Anyway, to make a long story short, I met Fitzroy outside of the student Union after the party. We exchanged "pleasantries" and he asked for my phone number. He didn't have a pen and I thought he talked funny. So when he went to grab a pen I hid from him. He eventually saw me at another gathering on the same night and I gave him my phone number for his persistance. After that we made out first date Sweetest Day, and we've been dating ever since. That first date was in 1997. Almost ten years later, it would be a shame if we didn't get married. I'm glad that doing so is not just a formality of sorts, but something we both want. It's nice to know that we truely love each other and we're not just getting hitched because of all the time that has passed. The one good thing about all this time spent together is that we have thought a lot about our futures, and have really come to find out that we want the same things in life. We have learned that we work best working together...a melding of two minds and two hearts for common goals and dreams.
